The first time I used the Dyson on my wool rug, I could not believe the stuff that came out of the rug. I was very impressed and actually took a picture of it. I really like the ease of cleaning the see-thru container and the telescoping handle. It makes for easier storing.
the machine is quite heavy to carry but it pulls easily enough.
The hose does kink but is quickly unravelled.
All in all a very good product.

Good machine, but the power cord is fairly short. We have a long house around 50 feet in length and 20 feet wide. Had to plug the machine in 4 different places to do one level.

The Dyson DC21, which we have owned since Christmas has proven worthy of the praise it has received. It really does not loose suction! The dirt and fluff that I need to empty from our 1300sq.ft apartment is incredible. And we're not dirty people!!! My only critique of the machine is that the cord sometimes seems a tad shorter than I need (by just a foot or two) and the power head is sensitive to the pile of carpet in my home (which I hold as a good thing due to my enthusiastic clean regime). Proper cleaning after usage is best and care/maintenance is a must - the thing is expensive so you need to treat it right! I love it!
