I purchased this machine on the weekend. I have pets and have always had a challenge with pet hair build up. I used this for the first time and it is incredible. My rugs look brand new. I am so happy with this machine I was vacuuming all weekend long. I told my husband that this power tool is a must for every household.

It is amazing how much dirt and pet hair this gem picks up, compared to my trusty department store model. Area rugs look brand new. I don't mind emptying the cannister, I just think of how much I am saving on vacumn cleaner bags. I should have gotten a Dyson years ago. I don't even mind vacumning anymore.

The DC23 MOTORHEAD ANIMAL is a great preforming vacuum.I could not believe what came out of my carpets,and how they now look.My carpets look like new again.I would recommend this vacuum to anyone who wants to add years to their carpets wear.The machine is very easy to maintain.I also love the the fact that there is no bags to change,just dump the canister and go.The only issue i have is that dusting is a little clumbersum while holding the telescoping handle.I would like to see a hose that would attach to the telescoping handle,so when dusting you're holding a hose with a brush instead of the telescoping handle.My experience so far with this machine has been great,and i like that i am remindered to clean my hepa filter every so often which in my case comes by email.That tells me service to the customer is important.Thank you.

Good and Bad

Good Points-Excellent suction -Excellent on all floors and broadloom -Love the washable filter -Really does pick up animal hair Bad Points -Very bulky and heavy -Cannister is akward to move around corners and two heavy to use on stairs. All in all, I would recommend Dyson Vacums to anyone-you can't beat the suction and power. Should have bought a smaller one because this one is very heavy.

My daughter purchased your dc23. She kept asking me to try it and after seeing and smelling the difference in her home, l said yes. She has a very smelly dog and she could not get the smell out. There is no odour when you enter her house now! I have a Tristar that I"ve had for ten years. I thought it was the best. SO after cleaning my carpets I went over them with the Dyson. WAS I SURPRIZED. It picked up about 4 cups of dirt more. I"m not kidding. The next day I went over them again.(the same carpets) About another cup and 1/2 of dirt. I"m sold and so is my husband. I"m looking for a retailer and a good price. THE BEST and no bags.

This vacum system

Having two cats and one small dog with my house plenty of carpets, good vacum system is very important. I received mine three days ago and after I use it, I'm absolutely amazed with this vacum machine. I used to have Roomba Robot and loved it for less work to me, but at the end you must cleen up by your self if you want the job to be well done. Dyson is a master piece of vacum systems. I definitely recommend this macine to every body, even those without pets.

this is the best vacuum i have ever purchased.it is easy to manouver ,light and compact.i purchased a dyson because they promised that it would always have great suction, and they are right! this vacuum has the best suction compared to all the vacuums i've had.it's definitely a winner,and i highly recommend it if you have dogs or cats.the onlly thing i would change would would be a longer cord because i have to carry it when i do stairs.

The Animal has done well for us as we have to Golden Retrievers and we vacuum the main level of the home once a day. I like the suction and the fact that I don't have to run to the store for vaccuum bags any longer. If I was to change anything about this machine I would make it roll around more smoothly in that it is quite heavy or bulky and it doesn't take corners well. I'm a busy woman and I vaccuum like nobody's business. Also It does not fit as well as my last machine under certain furniture and in between the stove and cupboards. I do like its appearance and how neatly it folds away into itself.

I am still amazed at what this vacume can do. The suction is amazing! I never believed a vacume could do all this so well. All the hipe around Dyson vacumes is for a reason. Totaly awsome!
