Powerful

We've had this upright 'all floors' for over a year now. It has been the best investment. Its is such a powerful machine! We actually have fun cleaning now. We have gone through other vacuums, and after some time there is always one problem or another. Either its the motor. Or the rubber belt comes off. The bag needs replacement, and when you go to the store you can't find the right size. Or the attachments get misplaced. This dyson is bagless and you can see the resullts instantly. We decided to buy this after a family member purchased one. And he was estatic vacuuming and was showing us all how much dust came out of his carpets, even after it was vacuumed previously from an older (not Dyson) vacuum. My mom actually asked me to bring my Dyson to her place to throughly clean her whole house. And it was amazing. I can't stress enough how happy I am with this product, When I registered online for product registration, etc. I now also get reminder emails every three months or so to clean out the filter. Its so easy to rinse and maintain. The online customer service piece is exceptional I find. Some people may think 'oh it's too expensive'. But when you see the amount of dirt that picks up, it really makes you realize how much would have been left behind when you use another product. And just breathing in and being in exposed to all that is reallly gross. We we're just vacuuming before writing this, honestly.... I am feeling so clean and relaxed now! Thank you Dyson.

The ONLY Vacuum anyone should ever own!!!!

Working in retail for over 10 years, I've found few if any products ever live up to the hype and claims of their manufacturer but the Dyson "ball" did!!! It never does lose suction and the amount of dust and debris it removes from carpets is absolutely astounding!! Manouvering it is as easy as it looks on the commercial and maintenence (washing filters) is quite simple, dyson even reminds you it's time by email!! Quality product, excellent customer care!

This is an excellent machine. After four months, I still look forward to work with it on my appointed day. Very light; and a pleasure to see how much dust you actually do accumulate.
One drawback : on previous machines you could variate the suction. There is too much of it when vacuuming light bathmats or pillows.
But the perfect machine will never be invented, though Dyson approximates it.

hose not long enough

I've read previous reviews where you have indicated the full length with hose and accessory is 15'. Obviously I must be doing something wrong - I 'm only getting about 8' of accessibility- very frustrating.

The instructions are not easy to follow

I love my Dyson

I really love my Dyson vaccuum cleaner. I have had my Dyson since February 2009 and it has made an incredible difference in the way my carpets look when I clean. The only thing I would improve would be this model's performance on stairs and furniture - it's a bit awkward positioning the cleaning wand and sometimes the cleaning tool will fall off the wand when I am doing the stairs or furniture. Otherwise it is a great machine and excellent value for the money.

Why did I wait so long?

I have owned a Dirt Devil, an Electolux, and a Kenmore vacuum cleaner and none of them ever had suction the way the Dyson 25 model has. It took me five minutes to put the cleaner together. All the parts easily snap together and are clearly good quality. I love the ball which allows smooth cornering. I also love the upright lock mechanism that easily places your vacuum in upright mode or unlock it and you can get quite low to the ground if need be. The canister easily snaps on and off and it is quite simple to dispose of all that dirt and grime that you can clearly see.
The only thing that has ever held me back in buying a Dyson is the cost. Yes, it is expensive, but when I add the cost of three other machines I used, and they did not work, well it would have totaled to the cost of a Dyson. Just buy it. You won't regret it!

Dyson DC25

I have had this vacuum for about a month now. It is truly a great vacuum. Really picks up the dirt and is easy to use. One minor thing is that if you are going to purchase one I would recommend adding the stair cleaning power head if you have carpeted stairs. Worth the money. Easy to clean and maintain.
Would recommend this vacuum to anyone.

I'm a believer

After the cheaper, pretender "cyclone" vacuum we bought started falling apart, we began to look at the Dyson. We thought the pretender had pretty good suction until we started using our DC25 - we could not believe what it pulled out of our previously thought as clean carpet.
The ball lives up to it's promise in maneuverability and the unit is light enough to carry up and down the stairs.
Clearly a winner on suction, movement, style and one year later I can also say on quality and durability.
Our only complaints: the unit did not come with a floor attachment - it does not get under tables and chairs well enough not to have one, so we had to purchase separately (the same goes for a dusting attachment); and, the hose has it's limits when pulled out for dusting, hard surfaces, stairs and dustwebs.
Overall I say....we are believers in Dyson quality.

We are happy your DC25 is living up to your expectations. This DC25 All Floors model is the "base model" which is $100 less in price than the DC25 Animal which comes with extra accessories, including a Flat Out Tool designed specifically to go underneath furniture and beds, even on carpets! The model you purchased comes with the basic on-board tools only so as to make it the lowest price point in this model category. The Flat Out Tool is also available separately from www.dysoncanada.ca and is a perfect solution for this function.

DC25 all floors

My DC25 was dilivered after I had just vacuum the livingroom carpet but I decided to try the new vacuum any way - I was amazed at how much dog hair I picked up after I had juct vacuumed- I was impressed.
The only improvement I would like to see is a longer cord.
This is an excellent product.

This has been the BEST vacuum cleaner that I have ever owned it is so simple to use and empty my carpets as so clean evertime I use it. I also really like that I am notified every three months to remember and wash my filters, you think that you will remember but you don't so thank you for the reminder
