After many years of frustration with different vaccuums that kept breaking after weeks or months, vacuums that were too heavy to lift or awkward, kids sucking up sox, etc, and killing the power bar and needing to replace belts. I decided to spend the cash and try the Mercedes of vacuums. At Sears I was really impressed with the demo and from the first moment I brought my baby home, I was in love!
It has never let me down. One time my son thought he had broken it and I called Dyson for help, I was in tears, they calmly explained to me how simple it was to click off the power bar to remove the sucked up item and turn it back on with the restart switch. I was sooooo impressed as I thought I'd have to order a new part or something.
So easy, no buying new parts or anything, we have a very hairy dog, and this vacuum has been the answer to my prayers. Now we don't fight over whose turn it is to vacuum, but who gets to vacuum, because it is indeed a pleasure to use this light weight, and versatile machine that goes everywhere and does my steep stairs with the long hose. Love the washable filters, my daughter has asthma, so it is great for this too.
